Celebrate Our Early Learning Heroes This Week! :

Celebrating Teacher Appreciation Week at Our Early Learning Centers (May 5-9, 2025)
As we kick off Teacher Appreciation Week this May 5, there's no better time to pause and celebrate the heart and soul of our Early Learning Centers at Millworks (Downtown), Heart House, and Barkley: our incredible teachers, dedicated center staff, and inspiring directors.
Each day, these passionate professionals make a lasting difference in the lives of our youngest learners. They create welcoming spaces filled with curiosity, kindness, and discovery. They offer endless patience, encouragement, and support as they guide children in finding their passions and building lifelong skills. Simply put, they help our families and community find their "why."
Here’s how families can join us in celebrating this week:
Monday: Thank You Day
Kick off the week by leaving a heartfelt note, picture, drawing, or short video on your center's Padlet board. Your kind words and expressions of gratitude mean the world to our teachers and staff!
Tuesday: Bring Your Teacher a Flower
Brighten your teacher's day with a flower—real, crafted, or even a leafy bouquet from your yard.
Wednesday: Wear Your Teacher’s Favorite Color
Show your appreciation by dressing in your teacher’s favorite color. Let’s make the classrooms vibrant with gratitude!
Thursday: Sweet Treat Day
Say thank you with a small treat—wrapped candy, granola bars, or a fresh piece of fruit are all perfect ways to bring a smile.
Friday: Thank You Notes Day
Wrap up the week with a handmade card or drawing. These personal touches are treasured keepsakes that remind our teachers how much they are loved.
Every Day, Every Moment, You Make a Difference
To our teachers, center staff, and directors—you are more than educators. You are nurturers, role models, and champions of each child's potential. Your commitment shapes brighter tomorrows, and for that, we are endlessly grateful.
Families, thank you for helping us celebrate and uplift these extraordinary individuals this week. Together, we continue to make our centers a place where everyone belongs and thrives—because at the Y, we all find our why.
